1. Put half of the caudex (bulb) into loose soil with good drainage.
2. Place it under indirect sunlight.
3. Depending on the temperature, location and situation, it now takes between one week and three months for the first leaves to appear.
4. In order to get larger leaves and red-colored stems, it is best if the plant is placed in a spot with morning sun and receives enough sunlight.
5. Make sure to let the plant completely dry between every watering.
6. If the caudex (bulb) becomes soft, this is either due to overwatering or not enough sunlight.
